The program
Property managers use now ours to run maintenance. We send texts and make calls for them, in their company's name, about repairs: reporting a problem, booking a visit, following up and confirming the fix. We don't send marketing texts.
How you agree to get texts
- Tenants: you agree when you text or call your property manager's maintenance number, or when you give your mobile number to your property manager for maintenance updates.
- Vendors and technicians: you agree when you give your number to the property manager for job requests, or when you reply to a job text.
- Property managers and on-call staff: you agree when you add your number in the app.
Agreeing to texts isn't a condition of renting, of getting a repair done or of buying anything. You can always call your property manager instead.
How often we text
Message frequency varies. Most texts are about one open repair, and they stop when it is closed.
If you are first on a property manager's on-call calendar, you get a call and a text about an emergency. If nobody answers within 5 minutes, the backup gets a call and a text. If nobody takes it, the case goes to the property manager.
Cost
Msg & data rates may apply. We don't charge tenants, vendors or technicians for texts or calls.
Stopping texts
Reply STOP to any text. CANCEL, END, QUIT and UNSUBSCRIBE work too. You'll get one text confirming it, and then the texts stop.
To start again, reply START. If you stop texts, your property manager can still reach you by phone or email about a repair.
Getting help
Reply HELP to any text for our contact details, or write to support@nowours.com. A person replies the same business day, Monday to Friday.
Calls
- Ours says it's an AI assistant, and every call says it's recorded
- Calls and texts work in English and Spanish
- Ask for a person on any call and you are put through to whoever is on call
- Every call and text is kept on the repair's case, with who it went to and when
Not an emergency service. For a fire, a gas leak or anyone in danger, call 911 or the gas utility.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
